Customer Background

Consulting and automation specialist that designs and builds systems for a variety of industries, including mining/refining, robotics, and manufacturing. They focus on producing rugged equipment for use in heavy industrial applications.

Challenge

Customer requested a parts washer to clean large, flat, stainless steel cathode plates, at a rate of 50 cathodes per 12-hour days. They were contaminated with grit blast residue, dust, and light soils, which resembled an ink-like substance. Plates had to exit visually-clean and have no particles larger than 20 microns remaining. 100% dry was desired.

Solution

Alliance provided an Aquamaster CM-1200E conveyorized monorail cleaning system with wash and ambient blowoff modules. The customer provided their own monorail and part hanger system to travel through the silhouette opening of the machine. Product guides were incorporated to keep parts traveling in the center. The machine canopy is constructed of stainless steel and has two large hinged access doors. Tank bottom is sloped for ease of drainage. High-velocity air knives are located in the ambient blowoff zone at the end of the monorail silhouette opening. Dual exhaust fans with condensate return are included. Manuals are provided both in English and in Spanish, as the machine will be in operation in Mexico.
