Manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders and swivels for use in a variety of industries, including agriculture, material handling, forestry, and military. Many of their products are manufactured using high-strength ductile iron. The focus is on producing hydraulic systems that can withstand very heavy loads under high pressures. The company designs, manufactures, and pressure-tests the products they produce. They also offer service and repair of hydraulic cylinders.
Challenge
The customer was seeking a hydraulic cylinder washing machine to clean washers of various sizes up to 4,000 lbs. Cylinders needed to be visually clean but dryness was unimportant. The most challenging aspect was being able to clean the interior and exterior surfaces of cylinders with multiple lengths and diameters.
Solution
Alliance provided an Aquamate SF-2000 stationary fixture parts washer with dual-hinged canopies with a hydraulic lift for easy part loading. The dual-canopy hydraulic cylinder washer design allows the operator to open one segment for shorter cylinders or both for longer sizes. A 50′ hose reel with a pneumatically-powered scrub can be manually fed into the cylinder for scrubbing the interior diameter. The brush head is adjustable to expand or contract in size to accommodate varying cylinder sizes. Swiveling spray bars with adjustable nozzles can be easily positioned to accommodate exterior cleaning of both short and long cylinders. An optional mist-collecting exhaust system and a belt-type oil skimmer are also included.
