Customer Background
A leading global supplier of ice cream and frozen beverage equipment with 160 distributors in 125 countries. Founded in 1926, this company invented the very first automatic batch ice cream freezer and continues to expand and innovate.
Challenge
Customer needed a custom, conveyorized cleaning system for removing cutting oils, zinc ammonium chloride, and hydrochloric acid from commercial ice cream machine barrels. Their parts—stainless-steel and copper barrels up to 32″ long—required thorough cleaning to achieve an oil-free finish, consistent production of up to 32 parts per hour, and improved dryness after processing. To meet these requirements, the solution also had to minimize cross-contamination, handle corrosive residues, and integrate reliable filtration and material construction suitable for a demanding, high-throughput environment.

Solution
Alliance provided the customer with an Aquamaster CB-2814F conveyorized cleaning system engineered to deliver reliable, high-throughput cleaning performance. Built with Type 304 stainless steel components throughout, the system includes stainless-steel pumps, a sloped tank bottom for efficient drainage, and our patented removable fiberglass canopies for full access and simplified maintenance.
The ice cream barrel cleaning machine is equipped with a NEMA-12 electrical enclosure featuring a fused-type disconnect switch and magnetic starters with safety overload protection, ensuring safe and dependable operation. Together, these features provide a durable, easy-to-maintain solution tailored to the customer’s cleaning and production requirements.
