The “Aqualescer” is an oil coalescer with stainless steel parallel plate design for removing floating oils from aqueous cleaning solutions and process tanks. These oil coalescers are also offered in mild steel construction for machine coolant tank applications. Five (5) standard Aqualescer models are available. Sizes range from .5 GPM to 3.0 GPM flow rates.
- Highly efficient oil removal
- Conserves cleaning solutions and machine coolant
- Safe oil disposal
- Low maintenance
- Easy clean coalescing plates

Alliance’s “Aqualescer” oil coalescer is skid-mounted and includes the following: One (1) separation chamber consisting of a parallel plate coalescing system for the separation of limited solids and oil droplets. Coalescing media consists of a series of stainless steel plate modules. Separation tank measures approximately 27″ wide x 34″ high x 44″ long on stainless steel leg supports. Separation tank has a capacity of approximately 50 gallons and is constructed of stainless steel. Cleaning, when required, consists of removing the plate modules to clean them with steam or hot water. There are no moving parts in the separator and no disposable filtering medium which ensures minimal maintenance.
An air operated diaphragm pump equipped with a pressure regulator and flow control valve transfer the water and oil mixture from the wash tank to the separator tank. Plant air requirements are 3 scfm at 20 PSI. The pump will have a polypropylene body and a Teflon diaphragm for corrosion and heat resistance. The oils coalescer system is designed for a flow of 3.0 gallons per minute. For optimum performance, 24-hour operation is recommended.
An oil retaining baffle, which acts as a weir, forces the clean solution to go under it to the clean side of the separation chamber where gravity feeds it back to the wash tank. One (1) integrated waste oil holding tank with a capacity of 10 gallons includes a drain and an overflow port for disposing of waste oil. The drain is equipped with a ball valve. Included is one (1) stainless steel floating skimmer and hose for transferring wash water and oil to the separator and one (1) discharge hose for the transfer of clean fluid back to the wash tank.
